Karen Dufresne | Instructor | Kelowna

A love of “critters big and small” is what first attracted Karen Dufresne to the Veterinary Assistant profession. Hailing from Calgary and now an instructor in the Veterinary Hospital Assistant program, Karen loves helping both animals and their owners and decided to become an instructor in the program so she could teach like-minded students about the helping animals in industry that she loves. 

 

 

Kim Loney | Lead Instructor | Kelowna

After graduating from a Veterinary Office Assistant course in Vancouver, Kim Loney worked in various animal hospitals for the next 11 years before deciding to enter into the teaching side of things. Originally hailing from the Vancouver area, Kim’s love of animals and interest in helping train the next generation of animal hospital staff led her to her current position as a program instructor for the Veterinary Hospital Assistant program at the Kelowna campus. 

 

 

Kate Robertson | Instructor | Kelowna

Kate's lifelong love and passion for animals led to her desire to work in the veterinary field. She graduated with honors from the Animal Care program at Sheridan College School of Arts and Technology in Brampton, Ontario in 2005. Her career as a veterinary assistant began in a clinic that specialized in Avian, Exotic, and Emergency care. Throughout Kate's career, she has worked in both small and large animal practices.
