Here's your chance to TAKE A SHOT in the Centre for Arts and Technology’s Digital Photography Competition. You could be awarded a $2500 SCHOLARSHIP to the Centre for Arts and Technology in Halifax, and a camera for your school compliments of Henry’s Camera Centre.

HOW TO ENTER

  1. Fill in the entry form below and include a description of your photo.
  2. Submit your best shot using the Photo Upload field. Photos should be a maximum of 500 kb. (If you don't have image editing software, you can reduce your file size online at www.imageoptimizer.net). If selected as a winner, you will be required to provide the original (high resolution) photo for contest purposes.
  3. Submit your entry! Your entry will immediately be logged on our system with a date and time stamp. We will also contact you to confirm your submission. Good luck!

RULES

  • Participants must be between 15-18 years of age on the date of entry, and residing in Canada.
  • Maximum of one photo per participant. (If you submit more than one photo, only your first photo will be considered for the contest, so please submit only your best shot!)
  • Photos will be judged by industry professionals equally on technical aspects, creative execution and personal vision. All decisions made by the judges are final.
  • Keep it clean – no nudity, drugs or violence.
  • Photos must be submitted by May 4, 2012.

GALLERY SHOWING AND PRIZE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Join us in viewing YOUR submitted photos in a Gallery Showing at the Centre for Arts and Technology. You’ll get the chance to view all submissions, and meet the judges, as well as current Digital Photography students.

*Scholarship details: The top prize includes a $2500 scholarship to any program at the Halifax Campus of the Centre for Arts and Technology in Nova Scotia during the July or October intake of the student’s high school graduation year. Scholarships are non transferrable between campuses and have no cash value. The $2500 amount will be deducted from the student’s final tuition payment. The student must complete the program in order to remain eligible for the scholarship.
