Our veterinary assistant schools train students to become qualified “front line” veterinary assistants. “Front line” veterinary staff is a crucial element to an effective and successful veterinary team. Our graduates will be trained to execute and assist in a variety of responsibilities and duties within a veterinary hospital, including assisting the veterinarian or veterinary technician with surgical preparation, instrument identification, cleaning and care; educating clients on important topics affecting their pets, such as diets, parasites and vaccination protocols, helping clients to deal with highly emotional and stressful situations and providing possible pet emergency care. Graduates will also possess excellent interpersonal skills. With the Veterinary Hospital Assistant program students will also be trained how to perform the wide variety of clerical duties it takes to run an efficient veterinary hospital front office and will also become fluent in the language of veterinary medical terminology. Once graduated from this veterinary assistant school, students will be well prepared, work ready and confident that they will be able to handle anything that comes their way.
