Due to strong demand for IT specialists over a broad range of specialized areas and skills, the foundation Network Security Administrator program is now a certified program at the Centre for Arts and Technology IT Training Centre.
The Network Security Administrator program, available in Kelowna British Columbia, Halifax Nova Scotia, and Fredericton New Brunswick, is the foundation of the Network Security Specialist program and you can continue directly into the comprehensive 18 month NSS program upon successful completion. But only if you are one of those brave souls willing to spend their lives fighting crime in the digital underworld.
The Network Security programs, at the school's IT Training Centre, will prepare you for careers in general network administration. You will be able to apply the core fundamentals of network administration to typical tasks, including building, maintaining, and support of networks; troubleshooting and maintaining LANs’ and WANs’, hardware, software and other computer-related equipment; monitor and implement network activities; design and configure networks; evaluate and install network software, hardware, and operating systems (software); perform system backups and disaster recovery. The content also covers qualifying knowledge for a number of industry-standard MCSE exams, including A+, Security+, Network+, Server+, MCP, MCSE, and MCSA.
Through research both locally and abroad, it is determined that the need for highly talented qualified individuals in this field is rapidly rising. The Network Security Program has been designed to produce the most qualified graduates possible. Although we can never make guarantees, we do anticipate a continuing 100% graduate placement in this industry. Now that’s not bad but it does mean your holidays are over.
