Veterinary Office TechYou are an individual who likes working with animals, has an interest in animal biology and veterinary science, and believe in the importance of high quality health care. Our Veterinary Office Tech program will equip you with the foundation of knowledge and skills essential to the success of primary animal care and prepare you to be an integral member of any veterinary care environment. The Veterinary Office Tech program prepares students for the steep learning curve they will face in a high-paced veterinary setting. Class sizes are purposely small to afford individual attention and well supervised group work. Our program trains students to assist in a variety of responsibilities and treatments within the veterinary hospital, including surgery; educating clients on important topics affecting their pets, such as diet, parasites and vaccination protocols; assisting clients in coping with stressful situations involving their pets; developing excellent client relationship skills; and performing clerical duties, such as data entry, billing and correspondence. Students will be well prepared and work ready, confident that they will be able to handle anything that comes their way. Download Program Brochure - 767KB *Program offered in Kelowna only |
