Financial assistance is available for Full-time students (those taking 60% or more of a full course load), who are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants, through the Canadian and provincial government student loan programs. Eligibility is determined by those agencies, which are independent of the Centre for Arts and Technology. Applications may be obtained from Student Aid Offices or at the Centre for Arts and Technology.
In addition to student loans, there are a number of ways students may finance their education, such as the
Bank of Montreal`s Brain Money Program, through which students are eligible for credit. Some students are sponsored by the TSD or WHSCC. Contact your TSD or WHSCC office (or legal representation) directly as requirements for sponsorship may vary. Once you have applied to TSD or WHSCC, we will provide any additional information required.

Student loans must be repaid at interest rates established by the government through the National Students Loan Service Centre, starting six months after the borrower ceases to be a full-time student. However, the government pays interest to the bank on the student?s behalf while they are engaged in full-time study.

TAP bursaries are currently available for dedicated, hard-working, goal oriented grade 12 students desiring to enter into the first available quarter at the Centre for Arts and Technology after their graduation. Only students graduating from a Canadian high school from January to June of their grade 12 year will be eligible. TAP provides grants of up to $1,500 towards a student's first year of full-time study and provides students an opportunity to accelerate graduation and entrance into the work force or exploring personal career potential while saving on tuition.
Students who have been accepted into TAP may experience some overlap between the end of their final exams and the beginning of their first semester at the Centre for Arts and Technology. Any content missed during this time will be made up.
The Application Deadline is April 30 for July enrollment. However, early application is highly recommended as there are a limited number of TAP grants available (6 for each program). TAP grants are applied equally across the first year program and cannot be combined with any other grants or scholarships.

Financing of up to 50% of tuition may be provided to qualified Centre for Arts and Technology Group of Colleges applicants, subject to credit acceptance, by Travelers Acceptance Corporation Ltd. to a maximum loan of $8,500 CDN. Minimum payments are required during the students enrolment, but the loans are interest free during this period. Students will have the opportunity to build a credit history, and all clients have the option to pre-pay or pay off the loan at any time without penalty. Twenty-four and thirty-six month terms are currently available.

The LLP allows eligible students to withdraw up to $10,000 per year, tax-free, (up to $20,000 over a four-year period) from their RRSP. Withdrawals are repayable over 10 years. For details about the plan and eligibility requirements, visit the Revenue Canada website at;

The Bank of Montreal`s Brain Money Program is a suite of products and services designed to meet the financial needs of post-secondary school students. Through the Brain Money Program, students are eligible for a maximum credit line of $15,000 for a one-year program and up to $30,000 if a second year of studies is chosen. Students may also be eligible for a Special Discount Program and a Student MasterCard.
