Centre for Arts and Technology

 

The Centre for Arts and Technology was honored to be selected to create a promotional video for Fredericton’s FredRock 2009 summer rock festival. Students in the Event & Promotions Management (EPM) program teamed up with the 3D Animation (3DA) and 3D Game Animation (3DGA) students to compose and construct the animated video. The focus was to showcase the excitement of the first ever rock festival in Fredericton. The 3DA/3DGA students wrote the story board and created the artwork and animation, while the EPM students created the timeline and planned and executed the presentation of the video to the FredRock promotions committee. There were thirty students who worked on the FredRock project and spent over 180 hours assembling the video to meet their deadline. Elements of sound, 3D animation and graphics were used in the video by using Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Softimage and Adobe After Effects software. Below is a list of the students and their instructors who took part in the project:
