French poet Baudelaire once said that a frenzied passion for art is a canker that devours everything else.  And for Okanagan resident Tylor Stasiuk, that’s a blessed truth.  Stasiuk’s passion for art has helped him overcome personal strife, and changed what could have been a disadvantage into a two year full-ride scholarship at the Centre for Arts and Technology in the 3D game animation program.

“I was actually on disability,” said the 28-year-old. “I suffer from both depression, and a variety of different learning disabilities.” He’s also been told that he may have Aspergers syndrome, a disorder in the autism spectrum. All said and done, the conditions he struggles with have kept him away from what he calls “traditional menial activities” but also given him a keen eye for detail, that’s evident in any of his works which turn the mundane to the mythical in a variety of mediums.  Read the full story by clicking <here >
