Brad Chapman | Department Head | Fredericton

Brad has worked as a Registered Cardiology Technologist for the last 10 years. He was one of the first male Cardiology Technologist’s in Atlantic Canada, the President of the New Brunswick Society of Cardiology Technologist, and a member of the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist Board of Director’s for two years.  

Before becoming a Cardiology Technologist, Brad was a Registered Nursing Assistant (RNA – now known as LPN) for five years and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-1) for three years. Brad has also been a CPR instructor for the last 16 years and First Aid Instructor for two years. He has been able to take all the skills he has learned in each of his jobs to enhance the level of education his students receive.

Brad believes the quality and strength of the Cardio program is first class and quit his full time job at the hospital, giving up 10 years of senority, to work full-time as Department Head of the Cardiology Technologist program at the Centre for Arts and Technology. Brad is proud to say his students are not students, but his peers.
