It’s an exciting time in Montreal as Fashion Week began yesterday. Not only is this excitement filling the frigid air in Montreal, but in Halifax as well as two students from our Fashion Design & Merchandising program were chosen to compete in Montreal Fashion Week.

Are you completely devoted to fashion and wanting to branch out into the fashion industry?

This Saturday is going to be an exciting night in Kelowna! It’s the second annual final fashion show of our Fashion Design & Merchandising students. Many students from other programs are involved in the event as well – Event & Promotions Management (producing the event), Digital Photography, and Digital Filmmaking to name a few.

On September 25th at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, a chapter in Halifax fashion history will be written. The first ever Fashion Design & Merchandising students to graduate from Centre for Arts and Technology (Halifax) will showcase their final collections, focusing on womenswear, menswear and accessories for both.

This week Atlantic Fashion Week is happening in Halifax! Last night (Thursday, June 7), AFW’s “New & Emerging Designer” runway show took place, where two of our Fashion Design & Merchandising students showed full collections – Eman Mustafa and Mitchell Gilroy, while a variety of other student pieces were showcased as well! Our Halifax campus students played a major role in the organization and execution of the event!

You might already be familiar with Halifax student Mitchell Gilroy, as he’s already made quite the mark in the Canadian fashion industry with his Technical Mention win in Telio’s “Next Breakthrough Designers” competition.
