Tuition Tax Receipts

Just an quick update for all our students concerning your tax receipts (T220A tuition tax receipts).

For the Kelowna campus, the receipts will be available on February 25th & 26th at the front desk. At 4pm Friday February 26th, 2010 they will mailed out to the address we have on file.

For other campuses, please keep an eye out for details and check with administration if you have any questions.

Filmmaker says producing shorts helps relieve boredom

Like many kids, Zainab Siddiqui wanted to be a film star when she was a child. As she grew older, however, the aspiring filmmaker realized that animation was her passion, coupled by the ability to create a world from nothing.
“I realized that wasn‘t what I wanted, but I was still drawn to the film industry,” Siddiqui told eVent over coffee recently. “I like that I get to play god – I can even control the laws of physics.”

OK Valley ready for its close-up

Hot on the heels of a $10-million movie shoot for the southern Okanagan, two film projects totalling more than $34 million are coming to the Valley, and a production company will now call Kelowna home. Antares Global, a production company based in the United Kingdom, will move into offices in Kelowna and will shoot a TV series called Relationships and a mini-series called Tripwire in the Okanagan.

Okanagan Film commissioner Jon Summerland called the announcement “huge news” for the Valley.
