Everything You Can Imagine

For 30 years our team has been involved in the leading technical and design schools in Canada. Throughout the entertainment industry, our graduates have made their names working on award-winning films and albums, live productions, design projects, acclaimed video games, and working inside major media companies. The Centre for Arts and Technology certificate and diploma programs prepare you for careers in 3D Animation, Digital Filmmaking, Audio Engineering, Event and Talent Management, Graphic and Digital Media Design, 3D Game Animation, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Network Security and other emerging entertainment industry and information technology careers.

The Centre consists of three Canadian college campuses connected virtually by state of the art teleconferencing. Our campus locations operate in the unique and distinctive Canadian locations of Kelowna, Halifax and Fredericton. The Centre for Arts and Technology is highly respected and provides a special educational experience that draws on the talent and resources of industry professionals from coast to coast.

Our faculty are industry and life experienced professionals who are “giving back” through their involvement with our schools. Often while continuing successful global careers. The Centre for Arts and Technology is not your typical community college or university art school. Art and design are critical foundations to your education, but your experience at the Centre is much more immersive, engaging and interactive. This leads to practical application and internship in real world digital art industry placements and careers. Your work is focused on your complete development. Graduates are competent, confident with comprehensive skills. Your skills must then become just an invisible interface for your talent.

A History of Success

The Centre for Arts and Technology team pioneered education in Digital Media and Entertainment Technology in Canada and were one of the first education teams to develop programs in Digital Audio, Arts and Animation, Video Game Design and Development, Motion Design, Interactive Arts for the Web, Surround Sound, Sound Design, Digital Recording Arts, and other leading edge tools and technology. As new technology emerged, our graduates populated some of the most exciting and dynamic industries in the world, working for companies that have become household names.

Tools, Technology, Talent and Training

Design has evolved to include Motion Design, Special Effects have become Visual Effects, Multi Track Recording and Music Production have evolved to complete Digital Environments incorporating surround sound technologies and advanced Synthesis and sound design. State of the art software and hardware workstations are standard tools in today's media and entertainment designer's professional toolkits.

At the Centre we provide tools, training, and technology, but most significantly, you become part of our community. Belonging to our community creates the drive, the buzz, a sense of purpose and the fellow explorers to share the journey.
