If you dream of your filmmaking ideas and talent someday bursting onto the big screen, then this is your chance to show off what you've got.
THE CENTRE FOR ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY in partnership with the ViewFinders: International Film Festival for Youth presents READY SET SHOW, a 48 hour digital film competition where teams of up to 5 people have just 48 hours to plan, write, direct, shoot and edit a cinematic masterpiece (or just a cool short film you're really jazzed about).

- Empire Theatres, Oxford Street, Halifax
How it works:
- Find yourself a team of 1-5 of your friends.

- Team members must be between 15-18 years of age from Atlantic Canada.
- Film submissions must be between 1-5 minutes in length including credits.
- Films must incorporate elements to be announced at the kick-off event at the Centre for Arts and Technology.
- Teams will need their own gear but will have access to a mentor to answer questions and help along the way.
- The top five films will be screened at Empire Oxford Theatre in Halifax.
Prizing will be awarded to the top three short films as judged by a panel of industry professionals.
Top prize for each member of the first place team includes a $5000 scholarship to any program at the Centre for Arts and Technology, Halifax Campus.
